Waiting – Holy Saturday from Home
Adeamus ergo cum fiducia ad thronum gratiae:
ut misericordiam consequamur,
et gratiam inveniamus in auxilio opportuno.Let us therefore with boldness approach the throne of grace,
so that we may receive mercy
and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
Opening Prayer
O God, Creator of heaven and earth:
Grant that, as the crucified body of your dear Son
was laid in the tomb and rested on this holy Sabbath,
so we may await with him the coming of the third day,
and rise with him to newness of life;
who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
The cross still stands on Calvary hill,
tree of a new and blessed life;
and in a garden close at hand
the Lord of life and death lies still.
The peace of death enfolds him now,
anguish and pain can do no more;
the victor, victim for our sins,
he sleeps awhile to rise again.
To Christ, who died for love of us,
bearing our sins before the throne,
to Father and to Paraclete
be glory till the end of time.
